We beg leave to inform you that on the 10th instant we paid into your account at Mess. Drummonds £ 120.- the half years interest due from M. Payne on the 1st. of July last.


The Countess of Sandwich we believe has informed you that Mr. Payne has given notice of paying off the mortgage on the 11th of October next and we are sorry to add that in the present great scarcity of mortgage securities we have not yet succeeded in finding another investment fot the money but we shall still hope to do so previously to the time of payment.
